Be a Part of the Show!

Cast Auditions

Auditions are Monday and Tuesday, September 16th and 17th, from 3:30 to 6 pm in the Lois Weber theater.  Come prepared to present a 1 to 2 minute monologue of your choosing.  You only need to audition on one of those days.  Call Backs will be Thursday, September 19th, from 3:30 to 6 pm in the theater.

Join The Crew

All crew positions are open. We will be making assignments based on your experience, availability, and crew needs. Please be clear about your preferences and your scheduling conflicts on your forms. 

If you are also auditioning please note that on your form, but submit your crew application by the deadline. If you are cast (applying for crew will not affect our casting decisions) and have been assigned to a crew we will find a replacement for the crew position.  If we are unable to fill all positions on Paint or Set Construction, cast members are welcome to join those crews.

Crew Roles

Tech Crew Information Packet
 

  • Set Construction:  Building of all set pieces including flats, platforms, furniture, and selecting props as well as design aspects of the set

  • Paint Crew: Painting all the pieces needed for the production

  • Stage Crew: Responsible for orchestrating all scene changes during the performances

  • Light Crew: Focusing, repairing, programming and running lights for the performances

  • Sound Crew:  Running all sound-related aspects of the performance, including mics, sound effects, music cues, pre-show and intermission music, and monitors

  • Props Crew: Acquiring, building and organizing all props used in the performance and running props during the performances

  • Costume Crew: Costuming the actors, including pulling or helping creating costumes, assigning costumes, dressing room setup, overseeing all costume changes, care and cleaning of costumes as needed

  • Hair/Makeup Crew: Designing and applying makeup and hair styles for our performers

  • Assistant Directors: Assisting in all functions required by the directors including recording blocking, taking performance notes, performing administrative duties, working with actors on lines, providing cues and keeping rehearsals and breaks on schedule.  This crew will also be responsible for all duties performed by Assistant Stage Managers, which include all aspects of running the performance including calling scene changes, light and sound cues and “calling the performance.”

  • Assistant Technical Director: this person will be responsible for helping to oversee all aspects of bringing the various crews together to create one unified production.

  • Box Office/Usher Crew:  Helping with ticket sales, ushering and customer service for the performances
